ChorusLife Volley Bergamo: a new chapter for women’s volleyball in Bergamo

A three-year title sponsorship agreement has been reached between ChorusLife and Volley Bergamo 1991: a shared vision that builds on a great sporting tradition, invests in talent and opens up to the contribution of local businesses, with the aim of bringing Bergamo back to the top of Italian and European volleyball.

Bergamo, 30 June 2026 – The story of women’s volleyball in Bergamo enters a new phase of its journey. Volley Bergamo 1991 and ChorusLife are announcing a three-year title sponsorship agreement under which, starting from the 2026/2027 season, the first team will take on the new name CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO.

CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO inherits the legacy of one of the most prestigious clubs in world volleyball. A story that began with the extraordinary successes of Foppapedretti – a leading force in Italy and Europe with eight Italian Championships, seven Champions Leagues, six Italian Cups, six Italian Super Cups and one CEV Cup – and continued from 2021 thanks to Volley Bergamo 1991, which has succeeded in preserving its sporting, technical and identity heritage, ensuring continuity for a tradition that belongs to the entire Bergamo community.

Today that story evolves with a new ambition. CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO is a long-term project that aims to restore Bergamo’s standing among the great clubs of Italian women’s volleyball, nurturing talent, building an outstanding sporting pipeline and making the club increasingly attractive to athletes, coaches, partners and expertise at national and international level.

Part of this vision is the integration of the youth sector, CHORUS VOLLEY BERGAMO ACADEMY, which will become part of the project, giving rise to a single, unified technical pipeline. The goal is to support young athletes along a continuous path of growth, from their first sporting experiences all the way to Serie A, nurturing local talent and creating the conditions for more and more girls to become leading players in the first team.

What makes this vision even more distinctive is the connection with ChorusLife, one of the most innovative smart districts in Europe: an urban ecosystem designed to integrate services, entertainment, hospitality, culture and sport, placing quality of life, relationships and participation at its core. A setting that gives the initiative a national and international dimension, making CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO an ambassador of the values of innovation, sustainability and openness that define the smart district.

The agreement, which builds on the partnership with Volley Bergamo 1991 launched by GEWISS last year, is a further expression of the commitment that the Bosatelli family has devoted for years to the development of the Bergamo area through initiatives capable of generating social as well as economic value.

«We believe that sport is an extraordinary tool for growth, inclusion and social cohesion», explains Fabio Bosatelli, President of POLIFIN and GEWISS. «That is why we have chosen to continue the partnership with Volley Bergamo 1991 launched by GEWISS last year, supporting for the next three years as well a club that, through sport, contributes every day to creating value for the community. It is a choice born of the desire to invest once again in the local area, in people and in the new generations, in the conviction that a company can make a concrete contribution to the growth of the community it is part of».

«With ChorusLife we have given shape to a vision that places quality of life, relationships and participation at its core. Supporting Volley Bergamo, with whom we have already shared a journey in recent years through the Academy and hosted some of the first team’s matches at the ChorusLife Arena, is a further step in this journey and in the bond that continues to connect us to the city», explains Paolo Cervini, President of ChorusLife and CEO of POLIFIN, GEWISS and COSTIM RE. «CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO represents the natural meeting of two organisations united by the same calling: creating places where people can come together and share moments, emotions and experiences. On one side a smart district open to the city, on the other a team able to engage different generations of fans, families and young athletes. Both help to strengthen the sense of belonging to the city.»

CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO positions itself as a platform open to the participation of the Bergamo business community and of all partners who share the will to invest in developing talent, in the growth of women’s sport and in enhancing the local area. A journey designed to bring together different skills, energies and resources, in the conviction that the future of Bergamo volleyball can become a shared heritage of the entire community.

«When in 2021 we decided to take up the baton of the great tradition of women’s volleyball in Bergamo, we did so with the sense of responsibility of those who knew they were safeguarding a heritage that belongs to the entire city», states Stefano Rovetta, founding partner of Volley Bergamo 1991 and member of the Board of Directors. «Today that heritage finds a new prospect for growth. CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO represents the natural evolution of the journey that began back then: a stronger, more structured and more attractive project, built with respect for our identity and with the ambition of establishing Bergamo among the leading names in Italian volleyball.»

«The integration of the youth sector is the heart of this project», states Gianpaolo Sana, President of CHORUS VOLLEY BERGAMO ACADEMY. «For the first time we are building a single, unified technical pipeline that supports young athletes from training all the way to the first team. It means investing in local talent and creating the conditions for the best girls to grow in Bergamo, to establish themselves at the highest levels and to contribute to the future of our volleyball.»

«Women’s volleyball is one of the most significant expressions of Bergamo’s sporting identity», states Elena Carnevali, Mayor of Bergamo. «CHORUSLIFE VOLLEY BERGAMO interprets this legacy with an eye to the future, nurturing the talent of the new generations, the role of businesses, as GEWISS has done, and our city’s capacity to innovate. It is a project that strengthens the bond between sport and community and helps to promote the image of Bergamo well beyond the boundaries of our area».

VOLLEY BERGAMO 1991
In June 2021 Volley Bergamo 1991 took up the baton from Volley Bergamo, acquiring the right to compete in the Serie A1 Championship and writing new chapters in the history of what is a genuine point of excellence in the world of sport. The legacy of 8 Italian Championships, 7 Champions Leagues, 6 Italian Cups, 1 CEV Cup and 6 Italian Super Cups built by the Foppapedretti-branded Volley Bergamo, the enthusiasm of those behind the new project and the passion of the red-and-blue fans are the foundations of a club that, as if in perpetual motion, continues to thrill, inspire and serve as a point of reference on the Bergamo and national sporting scene, bringing onto the court the strength of being from Bergamo.
